The Cuisine::pro® Damashiro® Emperor Bread Knife 20cm/8" has a sharp edge that is similar to saw-like notches.  This is commonly referred to as a serrated edge. The knife's long serrated blade works well to slice through food that is hard on the outside, and soft on the inside.  Effortlessly slice into hard crusted breads, or fresh tomatoes with a smoother extended motion.

Cuisine::pro® Damashiro® Emperor knives have been crafted from the finest Japanese Steel 420J2, and ice-hardened to ensure superior blade strength and durability.  The Japanese steel blade construction has been inspired by century old manufacturing techniques to create a super sharp cutting edge which holds a greater edge retention.  This technique is favoured by traditional Japanese craftsman and Samurai sword
makers.  The blades are characteristic of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water.
